The Empowerment & Transition Network was developed to bridge the critical gap in resources for system-impacted youth with disabilities. It emerged from the collective efforts of independent living centers, advocates, community organizations, and service providers who recognized that these young individuals often face unique barriers to stability and independence. Inspired by the advocacy and research of the Disability Community Resource Center's Systems Change Youth Advocate, the coalition came together to build a strong referral network, ensuring that no youth is left behind.
Through collaboration, advocacy, and direct support, the Empowerment & Transition Network empowers system-impacted youth with the resources they need for a successful transition into adulthood.
