To ensure our work remains inclusive, youth-centered and driven, and rooted in the realities of those impacted, the Empowerment & Transition Network has established two advisory committees: the Youth Advisory Committee and the Law Enforcement Advisory Committee. These committees exist not as separate voices but as integral parts of a shared mission: to transform systems with the people most impacted at the center of the work.

Our coalition is rooted in the belief that meaningful change must be led by youth. Their lived experiences, insights, and leadership shape the direction of  every initiative we take on. At the same time, we recognize that systemic change requires the participation of all stakeholders, including those working with law enforcement.

These committees allow us to shape change while upholding our most important values: the safety and leadership of system-impacted youth and youth with disabilities.
Through these dual spaces, we foster collaboration without compromising the autonomy and voice of young people and while keeping into account the perspectives of law enforcement.
